Recovery Funds
The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 will fund more than 200 civil works projects totaling more than $125 million in the Tulsa District of the U.S. Corps of Engineers.
In addition, the Oklahoma Department of Commerce has recommended 24 energy-efficient projects in Tulsa to be approved for designated stimulus money, including a grant for the Tulsa Industrial Authority to create the Brady Village Green Sustainability Project, which would make the Brady District a walkable and self-sustaining neighborhood with renewable energy and retail and residential development, and a grant to Tulsa Public Schools to convert school busses to natural gas systems.
